This is THE definitive awards program for the hair world and recognised business excellence for Australia’s hairdressers, salons, businesses, educators and products. We are no strangers to these awards and in fact we have been so proud to take home quite a few trophies including AHIA State Salon Business of The Year QLD 2018 and 2017, AHIA Business Director/Owner of The Year 2022 for Brodie and AHIA Salon Team Member of the Year 2022 and 2021 for Evie.
The Finalist placings this year are even more special though, as this year saw a new record of over 300 entries and 200 finalists! We couldn’t be prouder to be right up there, recognised for creating the best colours, best cuts, best styles and best hair in Brisbane! There is so much education, hard work, mentoring and dedication that goes into every submission, so much happening behind the scenes to ensure we are operating as one of the best salons in Australia.
We will find out how we do at the much-anticipated gala event at The Star, Gold Coast on Sunday 24th September and we are SO EXCITED. We all love what we do so much, and we will be dedicating any wins to you guys- our amazing and loyal clients that make us thrilled to go to work every day.

We have spread out our team and hours to limit the number of guests in our salon and adhere to one person per 4sqm.
Our new hours are:
Monday 10:00am – 6:00pm
Tuesday 9:00am – Late
Wednesday 9:00am – Late
Thursday 9:00am – Late
Friday 9:00am – Late
Saturday CLOSED
Sunday CLOSED
We already adhere to strict WHS and salon hygiene but we have introduced a few more things to make you feel at ease. At Rokstar our team and guests’ health and well being are always our priority.
Our doors remain open so no need to touch handles.
Disposable cups instead of our beautiful ones.
Perspex barriers at the front desk and at our basins for your comfort
Sanitiser at every station for clients and team to use.
All stations are disinfected after every client’s visit.
No hugging, handshakes and physical contact.
All capes and basin towels are single-use.
We have removed our magazines and salon treats; please bring your own reading material.
As we are practising social distancing we ask that you don’t bring any extra guests with you. This helps us ensure our numbers and WHS.
All of our team has completed the Government Infectious Control training. Rokstar has the right to ask unwell clients to leave if they are displaying flu-like symptoms.
